Greg Lake
Executive Chairman
Greg is the Executive Chairman of iCore Ltd and a principal consultant with a career stretching over 25 years, founded principally in the delivery of IT projects and services across multiple sectors. With iCore, he has undertaken a diverse range of senior programme and project management/consultancy assignments within a number of blue-chip organisations in a variety of industries, including financial services, oil and gas, telecoms, police forces and travel.
Usually operating at board level, Greg is exceptional at delivering and managing organisational, process and IT change. He has managed large-scale programmes and projects such as a major 500m consolidation programme affecting the global operations (in 144 countries) of a UK oil and gas company. This programme implemented ITIL processes worldwide and a centralised service management organisation. Operating at a global level, Greg was responsible for setting the strategy for the programme, negotiating and managing the contribution from a leading management consultancy firm, designing the organisation and processes, transition management to the new organisation, stakeholder management and continuous improvement.
Greg is knowledgeable about all major programme / project methodologies including COBIT / VAL IT, COSO, CMMI, PRINCE2, and has the experience to work with any customer required methods and practices and to remain focused on key deliverables.
Greg is a strategic thinker who can maintain ‘the big picture’ to operate at both board level and with lower level detailed teams. He is an experienced interim senior manager and leader, capable of defining and delivering service management initiatives in large scale, complex and geographically spread organisations. He is a ‘change agent’ who understands the ‘people’ element of programmes and can deliver that aspect alongside the technology and process elements.
