Business Development Manager

The success and continued growth of our business has created an exciting opening for a Business Development Manager to join our sales team. The focus of the role is new business generation and bringing on board new clients from both the private and public sectors. 

The role

Reporting to the Head of Business Development and Marketing and working as part of a team, the Business Development Manager will –

  • Schedule and attend external client meetings, build relationships, and positioning iCore as their IT Service Delivery consultancy partner of choice
  • Be somebody with an entrepreneurial spirit who can effectively come in and set up their own desk
  • Contribute to on-going ideas and discussions around how we can improve our sales process and go-to-market offerings
The ideal canditate:
  • Must have 10 years (minimum) experience in a B2B sales environment, selling into large organisations with complex IT environments
  • Must have proven experience and a track record of selling IT consultancy or professional services to C-level decision makers and senior IT management figures  
  • Must possess highly developed new business sales and relationship building skills
  • Must be able to oversee sales throughout the entire lifecycle – from prospecting through to closure
  • Must be organised and a `self-starter`, effectively `setting up a desk` from scratch
  • Will ideally have a knowledge of IT Service Management and be ITIL foundation certified
  • Must be able to work un-supervised, but also as part of a larger team and contribute to the on-going strategy of the Sales and Marketing team


Location –

London area (but can be flexible depending on experience and suitability for the role)

Salary –

£45,000 per annum + very competitive bonus scheme + travel allowance
